Questions

How Do You Charge?

We charge a fixed project manager fee which we usually agree to cap in advance in case the project runs over. We then charge all materials etc invoices to you at cost. Because we are actively running projects you can be sure you pay, through us, the best prices from suppliers.

Any subcontractor invoices go straight to you so you can pay direct. We agree a 72-hour payment period of all invoices so that we can maintain our relationship with our contractors and they can trust us on future projects.

We aim to be completely transparent and will discuss our charges at length individually with you.

Budget - How much money do I need to have?

That depends entirely on the project. As part of our service we help analyse your goals so we can find potential projects that will achieve those goals within the funds you have available.

H&S – should I worry about H&S?

We take health and safety very seriously. All our sites are run in accordance with legislation and now that also includes legislation to ensure the safety and avoid the spread of C19. You are welcome to view our risk assessments and health and safety policies, just let us know and we will send a link.

I Don’t know how renovation works

Don’t worry, we do! Every property is different and can bring fresh, unique challenges but we have built a system to ensure the smooth running of the project. The biggest challenge facing anyone working on a property is finding good, reliable contractors who will turn up on time and at the right time. We have superb relationships with our regular, trusted contractors who also give us their best prices as we can offer them regular work.

I’m thinking of a bigger project than renovation?

We believe in being completely honest and if the project you are considering is something we don’t yet have experience in, we will happily bring on board the best person or the job, share our contacts with you or pass on a recommendation.

Can I be involved?

Absolutely. We always share regular updates – photos, videos and calls/emails to keep you in the know. Beyond that you can have as much input as you would like.

Site visits are welcome upon appointment. In terms of selecting products we are delighted to discuss your thoughts, bearing in mind any budget/delivery time restraints etc.

Are you environmentally responsible?

Yes, absolutely. Our Environmental policy can be found here and includes our commitment to working responsibly, reducing consumption, reducing waste especially plastic, working considerately and our commitment to retaining/enhancing existing habitat and biodiversity.

After the sale of our property fell through we spoke with Izzy and Dean and discussed how we could move forward. They explained how we could split the title to create two properties. This was done and the properties were refurbed. They handled all the planning permission, building regulations and the renovation and we were kept fully informed along the way. The end result increased the property value by at least £200,000, we are very happy with the result.
